Although unexpectedly, the New bird cage printed at a smaller scale than the original bird cage, the new 3D model is successfull. The strengthened connections at the top of the cage allow the bird cage to swing on the stand. Also, the simplified design within the cage presents the reconstructed photogrammetry, as the enlarged bird now sits stationary inside.
The design which set out to construct an impossible object ("solid within a solid") has been fulfilled as well as creating an interactive model which can move. The success of the 3D printed model lies in the creation of 3 separate obj model files which were printed separately and designed to fit together to form the complete object.
